Dondi Riccardo

I received the MSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Milano in 1999 with a thesis on the comparsion of phylogenetic trees.

I received the PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Milano-Bicocca in 2005 with a thesis on  computational problems in the study of genomic variations. My advisor was Paola Bonizzoni, my co-advisors Gianluca Della Vedova and Giancarlo Mauri.

Currently I am an assistant professor at the Univesrity of Bergamo. My research interests include computational complexity, algorihtm design, and computational biology. I have a special interest in the design of efficient approximation algorithms and parameterized algorithms, and in the study of the computational complexity of several problems in computational biology, including haplotyping, clustering of experimental data and comparison of phylogenetic trees.
