Do I need a visa to enter Italy?

Typical cases in which you don't need a visa:

• You are a citizen of a EU country
• North America and Japan: you don't need a visa in the following cases
  • your nationality is American (US) and your residence is in the US
  • your nationality is Canadian and your residence is in Canada
  • your nationality is Japanese and your residence is in Japan
  • additional notes:
    • you need a valid passport
    • you can declare "business" or "tourism" as purpose of your trip
